THE VINCI's industrial design is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's illustration "Vitruvian Man", which represents the golden ratio of the human body. The elements are positioned so that they would prolong the lines of the drawn figure and create a perfectly ergonomic shape of the device, convenient to handle every day.

THE VINCI helps user to monitor what is being transmitted over RS232, RS485 and even over fiber optical cable in order to solve communication problems between devices. THE VINCI also helps to convert serial interfaces - it allows to change serial interface from RS232 to RS485 or to the Fiber optic. Any other combinations are supported as well. Whether user is developing a new solution or considering obtaining a converter, THE VINCI is a wise choice.
The main stylistic research was based on the analysis of "The Vitruvian Man" drawing according to Leonardo da Vinci and application of the golden ratio principals into the design and positioning of the elements - depth and angle of RS232 as well as RS485 and fiber optics were carefully calculated for the ergonomic and comfortable usage on the daily basis in the engineers' professional working field. First prototypes were made of different type plastic, but this material was not suitable for the working conditions - that was the main reason for the selection of a much stronger and more sustainable material such as aluminum. The most exciting part of the design development was a creation of an aesthetic inside, micro-architectonic walls of the case and holders for the PCB of the product that are left unseen behind the realization of the final product.

The biggest challenge of the design development process was a selection of the most suitable material for the production and definition of the right aluminum alloy for industrial processes - it supposed to be a balanced decision between hard and soft compound - strong and proof enough for the daily usage, but suitable productive CNC cutting, for surface turning processes, anodizing, engraving with an aesthetic outlook.

Looking after the production process in order to achieve desired surface with the righ "turning step" surface
Especial attention was dedicated for the development of the turning rings of the surface, depth of the engraving and anodizing. Product consist of one PCB and two case forms of the recyclable aluminum that have a special locking system of an assembly and can not be assembled otherwise. All stages of the production are controlled and looked after at the factories and each device is created with a special care and attention with no accidental difference.
