Brief: Create a brand identity for a cookbook recipe book

Response: I created Smashing Supper the fast meals that are healthy and a repeatable identity with a book series being Smashing Snacks, Smashing Soups, Smashing Squashes and so on. The wooden background creates a warm feeling as does the autumn warm orange and the pop of green dots adds an element of fun. This complements the images of colorful food. I chose Darling a curly typeface for the Title, EloquentJF to make the subheader stand out with the clear Avenir as the font for body copy.
