This is a proposed poster design based on the nursery rhyme "London Bridge Is Falling Down." The design is inspired primarily by the phrasing within the nursery rhyme with the eye representing the lady mentioned. She is witnessing the London Tower Bridge collapsing, which is why the composition focuses on the pupil of the eye with the bridge in it. The textural overlapping lines used to indicate value shifts in the face were meant to convey the terror and anguish of watching such a scene. Also included is the original sketch idea for the final composition which is an eleven by seventeen inch poster.
