A new high comfort trainfor intercity travelat 200 km/h
Bombardier has developed the Regio2N platform : a double-deck, electrical self-propelled carriage, already ordered by nine French regional governments in its urban and regional versions. As the Corail trains, in service for over 4 decades, are being replaced, Bombardier intends to propose a premium version of the double deck product platform to make it also suitable for longer intercity journeys which are not accessible through high speed trains.
I have defined the positioning of Omneo Premium and designed a look and feel that communicates both a high degree of perceived quality and an impression of well-being and comfort. This was achieved through a design inspired by French standards of luxury and home decoration as for colours, motives, materials, details and wide reclining seats with individual armrests, tablet, footrest, reading light and electric power supply.
