Tramway design
A partnership with MISS .TIC for A tram for living and a poetic urban stroll,
together with the street artist Miss. Tic, has won the design contest launched by the metropolitan authority of Montpellier for the line 5 of the tram.
Our goal was to intertwine the creativity of our own team of designers, with the artistic perspective of a forefront street artist, with the ambition to position our design into the long creative tradition of Montpellier trams.
This collaboration was thus meant to translate the genuine urban art of the artist into the design of a tram “for living”, both original and unexpected. The body work of the tram, with its straightforwardness and the use of black and white, was designed as a background for the female silhouettes sketched by Miss.Tic. Interiors offer different atmospheres through the use of colours, underlined by some aphorisms authored by the artist, which combine mood and humor, superficiality and profoundness.
Our design intends to bringback to the city its openness,warmth, generosity and cheerfulness, as well as the feeling of freedom it communicates.
