Dorica is a wireless rechargeable table lamp. The inspiration comes from the oldest of the Greek architectural orders, the Doric order, whose column is the most classic, pure, and iconic form ever created.

The goal was to create an intimate and personal product that could accompany the user in various lighting situations and needs. A very simple form, a cylinder, and a half sphere; the former representing stability and position, the latter symbolizing dynamism and freedom of movement. The ability to orient the half-sphere light source makes Dorica adaptable yet easily recognizable.

The half sphere, constituting the illuminating body, can also stand alone; the magnet securing it to the base allows it to attach to any metal surface, both indoors and outdoors. Thus, Dorica is highly versatile, as it can be used with or without the base as a light source.
The technology is concentrated in the half-sphere light while the cylindrical element serves as a support and charging module.
Dorica is a concept we designed in 2020, but for various reasons, it has never seen the light of day. They say that sometimes projects need to be let go...
