The studio assets for 1985's Commando were in splendid shape, featuring a balanced mix of publicity stills, scene-specific shots, candid photos and hi-res scans of the original poster, all of which combined to allow this newly expanded soundtrack CD to showcase this particular slice of 1980s cheese in all it's action movie machismo and glory.
Priority number one was a cover design that would distinguish this remastered edition from any previously released CDs. The solution was simple: hew closely to the original one-sheet poster, which all previous CD and home video editions had either altered significantly or else ignored altogether.
(left) Ladies and gentleman, I give you the 1980s. A decade so filled with excess that one phallic image in a marketing photo was simply not sufficient.
