My rough ideas for creating a background for the Yopisode Tumblr page. Yopisode is "The Social Network for TV Addicts" so I wanted to tie in images of TV shows, TV stars, a TV addict's mind or emotions/responses generated by their fave shows. Maybe some famous TV show quotes? 

I chose the photo grid idea with the text tiles. Added the Yopisode logo and varied the tile sizes here and there to unbalance the symmetry. Played with transparency ideas also.

Which TV shows and stars to show? Since this app reaches worldwide, I needed to do a little research on global TV top lists. Found several top shows in Africa, Australia, Japan and Europe to add to my list. Discovered that most American shows are followed in most other countries. Created a keyword list of emotions/reactions to create the text tiles.

The background collage. Assembled images from my list and created colorful text tiles to show emotional reactions to TV: LOVE, THINK, SIGH, GASP, SCREAM, LAUGH, HATE, CRY. Yopisode branding elements (TV bug and full logo) are included.

The final background put to work on the Yopisode Tumblr page conveys the concept of serial TV and the emotions of the fans. Bright colors confirm the high energy of Yopisode's audience.
