HIARETH
Hiraeth (welsh): nostalgia, longing, homesickness, a deep feeling of yearning for a home that cannot be returned to, no longer exists, or never was.

Where do you long to be? Where can you long to be right now?
These days the answers are getting harder and harder to find, as our global problems are creeping into every area of our lives. As we are yearning to be somewhere else, we easily realise that this “somewhere” is either in our past or in our future. The digging into nostalgia or daydreaming about a desired future are our portals to something better, and our safe points what gives us hope in the uncertainty. But these “gateways” are as much depressing as comforting: we can never be sure if we ever reach the other side.
