This project was comissioned by the Industrial Design department at California College of the Arts. This was for the annual Senior Show which is based off a theme: this year's was Fear.
The identity of this show uses black masses to communicate the fear of the unknown, contrasted with pastel colors. Spray paint is frequently used in industrial modeling, and was a perfect tool for creating geometric marks. The balloons also communicate fear as air pressure escalates to the point of bursting. Ironically, the acidic chemistry of the spray paint on balloons will eat the plastic, causing it to pop.
