SPECIAL TOPICS COURSE IN DESIGN
DESIGN ENTREPRENEURSHIP  I  All graphic designers have the potential to become entrepreneurs simply by their ability to think creatively, generate ideas, and bring ideas to market. This new special topics course aims to develop one project over a 15-week semester. The course emphasizes identifying a new business idea or social design project and validating it through extensive research, strategy, and brand identity development.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: A multi-week assignment reinforcing lectures in design research, business models, brand identity, and selecting and designing touchpoints. Emphasis is on realizing the project in the Graphic Design Portfolio course.
