Since more and more new products appear in the world every day, it is easy to understand that the attitude towards the consumer item is not changing for the better. And if you add the factor of its easy damage and short consumption cycle, we as designers should feel responsible for the future of our product. Modern design is not only original and plastic forms with bright (or pastel) colors, it is also a sense of responsibility for the service life of the object, its material component, tactility and experience of use.

Оскільки у світі кожного дня з’являється все більше нового продукту, нескладно зрозуміти, що відношення до предмету споживання змінюється не у кращий бік. А якщо ще додати фактор його легкого пошкодження та короткий цикл споживання, ми, як дизайнери, повинні відчувати відповідальність за майбутнє нашого продукту. Сучасний дизайн це не тільки оригінальні та пластичні форми з яскравими (або пастельними) кольорами, це також почуття відповідальності за срок служби предмета, його матеріальну складову, тактильність та досвід використання.
Project Octopus is the transformation of plastic waste into a new functional and stylish object. Its complex form is cast from crushed plastic, a single whole object that, when damaged or lost in its relevance, can be reworked into an object that will meet the needs of modern times.

Проєкт Октопус — це перетворення пластикового сміття в новий функціональний та стильний предмет. Його складна опукла форма вилита з подрібненого пластику, одним цілим об’єктом, який, при пошкодженні або втрати своєї актуальність, може бути знову переробленим у предмет, що відповідатиме потребам сучасності.
This possibility of reusing the material should encourage people to rethink the use and recycling of things around them.

The shape of the convex legs smoothly transitions into an exquisite anatomical seat with the texture of rings, which shrink and deepen inward with each retreat to the center. This notch creates a rather ergonomic fit that seems to “embrace” the human body.

Форма випуклих ніжок плавно переходить у вишукане анатомічне сидіння з фактурою кілець, що з кожним відступом до центру зменшуються та поглиблюються усередину. Ця виїмка створює доволі ергономічну посадку, що ніби “обіймає” тіло людини.

Основа антивандального крісла складається з тяжкого та холодного граніту, тоді як сидіння - теплий та м’який пластик з перероблених відходів.
