Personal Mark Development GD12:Type 1

Personal Mark Development for Graphic Design 12: Typography 1 at Santa Monica College with Professor Nicola Vruwink in Fall 2022
"The project requires the student to examine the characteristic shape and structure of the two letters and determine how the two forms can be integrated into a unified whole to create a mark in which each letter is integral to the other. It demands attention to the details of letterforms including stroke, weight, style, form, positive/negative space, and contrast."
For this project I chose the three middle initials of myself, one of my brothers, and my sister: Dion, Marcel, and Aolani; "DMA". The final mark consists of a capital "D" encompassing a capital, italicized "M" and lowercase "a".
