Madeira's Promotional Bureau launched a guide for the Spanish market, "Madeira - Los 99 Caminos de agua", distributed to the Spanish travel agencies. This guide is one more step of the wide marketing strategy to promote Madeira Islands in Spain in order to achieve the goal of Spain becoming the 4th most important exporting tourists to Madeira, just after Portugal, UK and Germany.

 

The guide displays different kind of walks, places to visit and things to do. Other promotional activities were developed, such as advertisements in reviews and journals, press trips, participation in some tourism fairs, the translation of the Tourist Board web-site to Spanish and new charter flights started to operate to Madeira.
