Nathan Duncan's profile

Patagonia's Responsibili-Tee Line of Shirts

Based in Burlingame, California, Nathan Duncan has served as a general manager with Patagonia in Palo Alto since 2019. In this role, Nathan Duncan supports the Patagonia brand in several ways, such as promoting the company’s use of recycled materials.

Outdoor clothing company Patagonia is recognized as an environmentally friendly business. In 2019, the American business was named a UN Champion of the Earth, the United Nation’s top environmental honor. The award was given in recognition of numerous Patagonia policies and programs, including the women’s and men’s line of Responsibili-Tee t-shirts.

Shirts in the Responsibili-Tee line are made through recycling processes that produce carbon emissions at near-zero rates. The minimal amount of carbon that is generated is offset through the company’s mangrove restoration efforts. In addition to using recycled materials, t-shirts are made using solar power. Patagonia does not waste water on the shirts either, producing shirts without using any dyes.
