I believe in the power of hair.

Once upon a time in India,
Ganga, the unruly and wild river-goddess
was ordered to leave the heavens and go down to the Earth.
Angered & insulted,
Ganga decided to sweep the whole Earth
as she fell from the heavens.
Lord Shiva was the only one capable capable of breaking up this descent.

Spreading open His serpentine coils,
He collected all the waves of Ganga and repressed her flow.
Then with a mighty swoop,
He collected His hair,
tied it into a neat and tight bun
& captured Ganga in his infinite swirls.
Ganga remained imprisoned until Shiva decided to release her.
Shiva came to be called Gangadhara,

"He who holds the Ganges in His hair."

Thank you!
