Tilerack: Mobile Rackspace Management Concept

A while back some of the Samurai got invited out to the Rackspace "castle" in Texas. We met the folks, had some great meals and generally got to know the company that we had been partnering with for years. It was awesome, full stop.

The actual discussions we went out there for are under NDA, but I can tell you that it was to learn more about their cloud infrastructure and the future directions it might take. We had a great deep dive into the technology and came away more impressed than ever. As a direct result of the information and experience we have remained deeply committed to Rackspace as a vendor.

We also got to experience first hand the "racker" culture. There is much more to say about that than I have room for here but it forms the basis for a future post on how important  being truly customer focused is.
After the meetings we Samurai were chilling out and discussing mobile design, specifically how much we enjoyed the direction Microsoft has been taking Windows Phone. A few hours effort resulted in this concept art for a fictional Rackspace management app on Metro.

Note: At the moment, no, there are no plans to develop the application itself. However all things are possible if there is enough interest. Let us know!
