Whilst attending Salford College for Fine Art I was able to unleash my expressive nature in ways that took my fancy. At one stage of the course I took an interest upon the human figure and more specifically hands and feet, I found them quite interesting and figurative and tried to perfect my artistic qualities by becoming more apparent with them and understand there details. This led onto appreciating the human form in many ways and moving onto portraits. My painting skills wasn't my strong point and I wanted to try and challenge myself. My Final Major Project was a self initated brief and with me already appreciating the human figure i wanted to incorporate that. My idea was to express the generations within my family and mainly the female generation, I chose to carry out portraits of my Grandmother, Mother and Sister, to which I used Acrylic Paint on Canvas.

 

As I said, Art is something that I love to dabble in at any time and currently working on pieces here and there , it has to take a back seat due to commitments etc but whenever I have the time I always like to engage with it.
