NEW Speed Test Design and Summary:
Speed test features include test to single modems, multiple-modems and devices. Users can now run each test separately . Each test has predefined outcomes plus troubleshooting steps and education to help users learn more about speed tests results, their internet connection, and how to optimize your modem

The following is the what the design looked like, just prior to my redesign.

PROBLEM:

When I joined the team I was asked to help out on this ongoing project the above screen is the old the design and the current team was into this project for over 6 months with no solutions. When I observed the screens the first thing I notice was how unorganized the components where and how much wasn't space was being used and the awkward shapes of the icons. My process was to first create new modem and device icons based on brand colors to fit space better, the next step was to rearrange the layout to better serve the user and create a more simple, organized user experience. I was able to come up with all of this in about 2 weeks.
