Challenge:
Take a fledgling startup brand from ad hoc sales at the monthly flea market to full-blown ecommerce powerhouse.
 
Solution:
I made the case to SMITH management to invest in Trust Co. as an experiment in doing ecommerce at a startup scale and to add some sexier B2C work to the portfolio. 
 
Over the course of 8 weeks, we worked with Trust Co. to expand their brand messaging and visual language to translate online. The UX was a highly custom skin of the Shopify ecommerce platform – helping Trust authentically represent their premium luxury goods while maintaining simplicity of ongoing site management.
 
Within 1 week of launching the site, Trust has sold out its entire product line to people across the country. Demand has been so consistent through the site, they have now shifted to a pre-order model.

Why I love this project:
We found a way to level up our skills and portfolio while helping out a local company. In addition to the value it added to the SMITH story, it was also a mentorship opportunity for me to let members of my team stretch beyond their comfort zones.
