Every culture has beautiful details, each of these details are transmitted from generation to generation creating knowledge.
The Marias hairstyle is an art that has been present everytime, inspired by this tradition we have created this object, a table that recreates the techniques used in the entwined of the braids.
The table reflects the folklore of a culture, intertwined laminated wood resembling a braid with the flow of form and stilized with pattern details in bright colors that give María a playful character. It was developed from cutting laminar patterns that allow optimization of the material, creating a sustainable and responsible furniture production. It is made of curved laminar wood that allow continuity of form without losing the important production process that consists of 2 molds to curve the 12 parts that make María. The graphic pattern is achieved by color transference via silkscreen and it is inspired in the geometric handmade drawings found in vessels in Mata Ortiz, a town in Chihuahua, México.
