Encountering the Art

2022년 4월, 아폴론이머시브웍스는 강남의 대표적 비즈니스 지구인 역삼동에 신규로 준공된 오피스 건축물인 아시아미디어센터에 다양한 미디어 아트를 설치하여 함께 오픈하였습니다. 아폴론은 미디어아트를 통해 건축물과 공간의 가치가 더욱 돋보이고 해당 상업 지구에서 랜드마크가 되기를 기대하며, 건축 단계부터 건축, 경관 조명, 조경 파트와 긴밀히 협업해 총체적인 미디어 경험을 디자인 및 리딩 하였습니다.
In April 2022, Apollon Immersive Works constructed various types of media art installations at ASIA MEDIA CENTER which is the new office building located in representative business district in Yeoksamdong, Gangnam, Seoul. Through media art, Apollon expects to further enhance the value of architecture and space to become a landmark in the district where it locates, so had been working closely with departments of architecture, landscape lighting, and gardening since the beginning of the architectural stage to make comprehensive media experience.
Spatial Design
상권 보행객 및 건물 이용자의 동선 분석을 기반으로 최종 선정된 건물 외부의 공개공지, 지하 주차장 입구, 그리고 건물 내부의 엘리베이터 로비는 각각의 건축 형태와 목적을 고려하여 미디어 아트 조형물의 설치를 통해 새로운 경험을 창출할 수 있는 공간이 될 수 있도록 디자인 했습니다. 특히 공개공지는 보행자가 수변과 자작나무 조경이 어우러진 자연 녹지 분위기 속에서 미디어 아트 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있는 야외 미디어 갤러리로 연출했습니다.
Based on the analysis regarding the flow of pedestrians and building users, the final selected three spots −public space, the entrance to the underground parking lot, and the elevator lobby inside the building− were designed to be a space where new experiences can be created through the media art installations taking into account the architectural form and purpose of each. In particular, the public space was created as an outdoor media gallery where pedestrians could enjoy media art content in a natural greenery atmosphere with a mix of waterside and a birch garden.

불특정 다수의 사람들에게 노출되는 매체의 위치와 특성을 고려하여, 아폴론은 디지털로 재해석된 명화 콘텐츠, 데이터 비주얼라이제이션 콘텐츠, 자연 테마의 플루이드 아트 콘텐츠, 레고를 활용한 브릭 아트 콘텐츠 등 모두 함께 즐길 수 있도록 쉽고 직관적인 아트 콘텐츠를 큐레이팅 하였습니다.
Considering the location of each media art installation to be exposed to an unspecified number of people, Apollon curated understandable and intuitive art content −digitally reinterpreted masterpiece content, data visualization content, nature-themed fluid art content, brick art content using LEGO, etc− so that everyone can enjoy it together.
