POPAI X SNOW PEAK

We were all set a brief for a project which was part of the Popai Design awards. We had to pick a category to design a shopping experience. I picked a Pop-Up and Concessions with the brand focus on Snow Peak. 

Snow peak is a Japanese outdoor equipment and apparel brand. They are relatively new to the UK market and wanted to focus on promoting the brands values and yearly festival that takes place in October.

I used a variety of inspirations but most importantly the message of the brands 'Life Values'. Snow Peak believes the way to restore the human spirit is to 'spend time outdoors with others' and I wanted to create a space within an urban setting that could give visitors an experience of that.

The space would also be a place for the brand to hold workshops and showcase products and the design and manufacturing processes. The space within will have natural elements including grass, trees and plants. The whole point is for the visitors to have respite from the busy city we are surrounded by in the hope to inspire them to go off on a wild adventure.

The space would also feature a curated sound selection of nature which the visitors could further acquire via QR codes. There will be other QR codes dotted within the space for the visitors to access product information, sign up to brand newsletter, sign up to workshops and also learn more about the up and coming festival.

I wanted to design this with the hope it can grab peoples attention and curiosity for what exist within and give a space for people to enjoy.
