NIKE X Toaster and Kette

A few of us on our Product Design course were picked as part of a extra-curricular design brief set to us by Glen Dimplex.

We were given brands to research and then use their brand language to re-design a Kettle and a Toaster. I was given Nike.

The project was over 3 weeks where we had to develop ideas and use feedback given to us by the Senior Design Director and Designer of the company to further explore ideas and concepts.
We were then asked to come up with 5 concepts for the toaster and kettle coming off of our research.
Concept one taking inspiration from "Space Hippie" range and looking into Lunar exploration.
I wanted to play around with concepts of the iconic Air Max range from 87 to today.
Looking into food on the go. A way to keep your breakfast warm on your commute.
A Combi-Breakfast Hub. Keeping it simple and taking inspiration from Air Force.
Using Nikes language of personalities within their brand I looked at Paul Hollywood and the Nikes Monarch Shoes.
After the initial 5 concepts was asked to further develop the Hub and Hot-pocket Concept.
I picked the Hot-Pocket concept as the final concept to move forward with.
Thank you for looking through my project.
