Fuse: Identity & Publication

A publication relating to an exhibition for a selection of artefacts that contributed to create the history of Italian Design. Objects that have faithfully accompanied our daily life and inhabited our homes. From Furniture to lights, from seating to kitchenware each refer to the spirit of the time, reflecting the era in which they were made.

In the book the concept of the designer and the product becoming melted together was explored. Identified as one. When the product is mentioned, the designer is linked and vice versa. The design has become part of who the creator identifies as. It’s who they are perceived as by the public and possibly also by themselves. Forever connected. Fused.

This was realised visually through Risograph printing and the idea of merging two graphic elements together. Combing colour & shape to form something new while also working with a font that replicates ink-trapping - a common trait within Risograph.
