A Cameron Crowe Film Festival
You Had Me at Hello
THE PROJECT
After selecting a director and creating a fictional film festival for said director, the main task of this project was to design a visual system that not only was appealing to the eye and fitting for that director's style, but that could be applied across a variety of deliverables such as posters, catalogs, advertisements, and products.
THE DIRECTOR
Cameron Crowe is an American director, producer, screenwriter, author, actor, and journalist known for his thematic movies that feature a soul-searching character impulsively disregard real-world responsibilities to follow their hearts. He is best known for directing Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous.
THE SYSTEM
Every aspect of this system was inspired by Crowe's films, his life, or who he is as a person. The collage style of elements, personally handwritten type, and choice in imagery and materials all relate to Cameron Crowe and the aforementioned theme of his films.
