An overload of screens
Studies have shown that the mere presence of a smartphone causes reduced attention.

From infinite scrolling to personalized ads, smartphones and other devices are designed to take up as much attention of the user as possible. To make matters worse, whether at work or in our personal lives, we surround ourselves with these devices and unknowingly spend large amounts of time staring at screens. This leads to improper work-life balance, screen addiction and several attention problems.
The only solution is to inform the user about their screen usage, and give them the chance to take a decision for themselves.

This is not news, there are already several apps and services that shows numbers, graphs and percentages based on your screen time, which unfortunately proved to be hard to comprehend on a daily basis. And then the other feature- forcing app locks and timers on the users – several users admitted that just in a matter of days, they override the locks and never turn it on again.

What if we communicate screen usage information from multiple devices to users through simple visual cues?

Migo uses the screen time from all your devices to create intuitive visuals that communicates your real time device usage. Using these visuals, Migo is able to display usage data from multiple devices over long periods of time, helping the user habituate to a healthier use of their devices.
With an inclined display and wireless charging capability, the Migo dock encourages the user to put their phone away while working. The weight of the phone gently tilts back the dock - a subtle gesture of ‘putting your phone away’.
The interface ensures that the user does not miss out on anything important by filtering out and showing important notifications on the display.
Through simple visual communication, Migo aims to help the user acquire a better understanding of their screen usage, while reducing distractions from their smartphones.
