Festive stationery for the celebration of a 33rd birthday
TASK
The customer would like to celebrate her 33rd birthday and send out invitation cards for it. Since it is a schnapps number, an idea should be generated graphically from it. However, this should not look clumsy, but rather be aesthetically and stylishly designed.
LAYOUT
The idea of the schnapps number is continued and a shot glass is illustrated. The tall glass and the olive give it a certain style. By mirroring and repeating the glass, an appealing pattern can be created in the next step, which decorates the background of the card discreetly. 33 glasses are highlighted in color. There is also still space for the lettering "Invitation". The font used here is a handwriting with capital letters that matches the illustration.
When it comes to colors, the customer chooses a combination of dark green and the complementary shade, a light red. For a wider range of colors, two light shades of green and white are also used.The illustrative style is continued on the inside of the opened map through the use of simple icons. The glass pattern also continues here as a border in order to stretch the graphic arc to the front.
PAPER AND PRINT
The choice quickly falls on the classic, but quite elegant-looking DIN long landscape format. The format is also ideal for postage and the associated postage costs, as it corresponds to the standard letter.A classic picture printing paper with a heavier grammage (300 g / m2) is selected as the paper. Due to the small number of copies, this is a nice and inexpensive choice, because special papers are often not possible or very expensive.
