The box is a special design, allowing 4x 16mm dice to sit at the bottom of the box with standard sized poker cards sitting a top.

The plan with Landing Party was to have a completely unique crew, meaning no duplicate faces. Working on different sets of noses/eyes/hair styles/etc, each crew member was assembled from a torso piece, plus head/neck and decorated with face elements. The art style of Archer served as an inspiration, providing both a color palette for skin tones and a heavy black line outline design language.

The aliens were inspired by a classic Macintosh shareware game named 'Missions of the Reliant'.
