The Burst Flask was a design project covering multiple aspects of design research, CAD use and design for manufacturers. The brief required use of vaporization in a unique and novel way while appealing to our target demographic's desires.
The product stores scented water in the bottom, typically with essential oils. The liquid mix is vaporized in the center of the device and brought to the top where a space in the lid contains it. It is held briefly under pressure before being released when the stopper is pressed in. The vapor flushes out, delivering clearing scents within the local area.
The functionality and aesthetic is intended to appeal to highly social college students, primarily. It's portability, design and ability to clear out unwanted smells should be attractive to that market, with future models evolving this concept.
This project was created in SolidWorks, and rendered using Keyshot.
