Great Smoky Mountains National Park

In the autumn of 2019, I traveled to Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the southeastern part of the United States. I had never been to this national park and it made quite an impression on me. This is America's most visited park in the National Park System. The park straddles the border of Tennessee and North Carolina with beautiful views of mountain ridges upon mountain ridges. The park has many waterfalls, streams, black bears, elk and plant diversity. Warm autumn days and cool nights create the morning "smoke" in the mountains, which gives the park its name.
