"Il viaggio di Dedalo"
L' opera, attraverso il mito di Dedalo e Icaro, vuole rappresentare il difficile rapporto comunicativo che si crea tra diverse generazioni, il contrasto tra saggezza e imprudenza, tra genitore e figlio. La figura di Icaro è rappresentata con una bocca sull'addome, proprio a sottolineare il ragionamento istintivo (di pancia) che caratterizza le giovani generazioni. La fenice, simbolo di rinascita, è metafora della forza che Dedalo dovrà trovare dentro sé per continuare il suo viaggio e ricostruirsi una nuova vita dopo il catastrofico evento. L' opera è stata realizzata a Fiumicino, Roma, all' interno del festival di arte pubblica Tinarte, dal 10 al 30 Luglio 2021.
The work, through the myth of Daedalus and Icarus, wants to represent the difficult communicative relationship that is created between different generations, the contrast between wisdom and imprudence, between parent and child. The figure of Icarus is represented with a mouth on the abdomen, precisely to underline the instinctive reasoning (of the belly) that characterizes the younger generations. The phoenix, symbol of rebirth, is a metaphor of the strength that Daedalus will have to find within himself to continue his journey and rebuild a new life after the catastrophic event. The work was created in Fiumicino, Rome, within the Tinarte public art festival, from 10 to 30 July 2021.
