I’m delighted to share with you this recent painting ”Approaching the Emerald Isle” I painted this on Saturday, and it is the fifth in a new series exploring the spirit of adventure in all of us. Distant shores, great voyages, friendships rekindled and quiet moments of joy on reflection of the wonders of our world.
Out on the horizon the shape of the land appeared. The glow of the late evening sun illuminated the trees with rich shades of a thousand greens.
The return to these verdant lands brought with it nostalgic thoughts and feelings of times spent and friendships made. She steered her craft towards the harbour watching the dolphins revelling in the late evening light before settling for the night.
The stars twinkled above as the deep azure heavens of the night made their appearance, the welcoming lighthouse guided her in, it would be a joyous reunion, she could hardly wait.
