Apollo Metrics

This project focuses on creating autonomous experiences in the healthcare industry. The research involved interviews with different stakeholders to get user insights and derive user needs. Moving into our second stage, we created a set of personas to help with picturing a meaningful understanding of the people we interviewed. After that, we identified our problem focus area and started brainstorming ideas for possible solutions. Next, we selected the best potential solutions and tested them out in a low-fidelity prototype. The solutions that involved a biometric scanner and an app went through honing to improve them. Then we created a brand, Apollo Metrics, that ties our solutions together and represents what they are made for. Lastly, we mentioned how we will experiment and test our solutions before they get implemented in real life.

The  biometric scanner has 5 main features that will suffice the triage phase and aid nurses It has a height scanner and sanitizer, it uses a laser point to determine the height. Next, the thermal-imaging camera that detects irregular body heat and alerts the staff for a possible viral infection before it spreads any further in the hospital. In addition to an AI nurse that guides the user through the process, confirms or makes appointments, syncs the user’s information to the Apollo+ application, and alerts staff for various infections. Next, is the sphygmomanometer which will measure the blood pressure, accompanied by a stool to help the user get more accurate results. Lastly, a weight scale that measures the body mass and weight of the user. All this information will be recorded into the patient’s file, and sent to the nurse’s station to create/confirm the appointment.
The phone application Apollo+ is an additional service for the scanner. It keeps the user’s medical information within reach. It updates upon confirmation and has a queuing system that allows the user to wander around or relax in a place without fearing missing the appointment.

With our biometric scanner and the phone application, Apollo+, we can notice a huge difference in the amount of time wasted in the hospital. This shows how using our scanner and app reduced the time wasted leading to customer satisfaction.
