36 Days of Type 2021
The binary of English / numerals and Cantonese
To celebrate the beauty of Cantonese, a vernacular language enriched by its long history, and a language inseparable with our everyday Hong Kong culture, this series of “36 Days of Type” in 2021 is attempting on blending the form of letters and numbers in latin alphabets with their similar pronunciations in Cantonese. The results are some awkwardly looking and “sounding” creations, a portfolio of unprecedented fusions and bombardments of languages and cultures.
