I volunteer in church as one of the graphic designer and I often design content to be projected on screens during the service. This content helps to augment the service by adding imagery to key points and announcements and also quick recaps for people taking notes. An example of one of such screens is show below:

It is usually my job to come up with designs for the title of the sermon being preached on that day. We get notes from the Pastor preaching. latest by the morning of the service and before service starts, I start designing. When I'm done with them, they get sent to the Head of Department for approval in case any changes or corrections need to be made.

They get projected periodically during the service to help people understand the context of the sermon and in case they missed it, they can add it to their jottings.
