McLaren Special Operations 720S - Private client.
Brief to provide a small portfolio of images to decorate a home office space.
Having had a look at the office space (remotely), recommended going with 3 images printed on aluminium; a combination of x2 15x10" prints and one 36x24" 'hero' shot.
1. Base frame in-situ at workshop, lit by overhead strip lighting with ambient daylight coming in through sky-lights.
2. Exposure dialled to eliminate ambient and workshop lighting, bare-bulb used to sculpt car with light.
3. For larger areas, white reflector used with light hitting it to provide gradient down bodywork.
Backplate created from scratch in Photoshop. Lighting effects added for colour.
Frames combined/cleaned for front and rear 'hero' shots. Client offered option and shown detail shots.
Phone wallpaper created for client.
Metal print arrived (15x10" shown) and mounted in clients office space.
Remaining 'hero' shot licence sold to local aftermarket tuning company who have just completed their first mapping session of a yellow 720S. Image to be re-composited for print signage (still ongoing).
