Over 10 years of experience in textile design and Adobe Illustrator

I start off with my color pallette, and then move on to my design direction.
Proportion is always important in matters of the textile end use, customer's needs, and yield.
I also have extensive experience in engineered prints, and garment marker layouts which allow me to strategically place pattern repeats for best yield, cost effectiveness, and better delivery times.
Below is an exercise in executing patterns that have a gradient effect by using a technigue utilizing blended color steps. This allows for more options in the design while staying "printer friendly" with the production team.
Below is a sample exercise for the company Lambs and Ivy who were in search of designers for their product development team.  Time stamp:  2hrs.

October 20, 2013  |  Below is a collection for decorator fabrics with an emphasis on patio and deck friendly colors.  The pallette is drawn from tropical birds and rain forest back drop which has been designed to compliment the Trina Turk Collection as they are in search of freelance designers.

Tropical Birds are the catalyst for the group.  Time stamp:  8 hours for all three groups.
