        WOVEN TEXTILE DESIGN
This project explores different weaving techniques to create samples
Concept

In today’s era where globalization and the monopoly of the foreign market is taking over the locally produced traditional products, the idea behind this topic was to throw light on the fresh sugarcane juice available easily on the roadside of the streets of India and is a thirst quencher for the daily commuters, providing them instant energy, freshness and organic wellness.
Placed against the extremely popular soda drink Coca Cola, the sugarcane juice is naturally sweet, organic and its making and bi-products are eco- friendly. It is often served in paper cups or glass mugs, served by the vendor who enjoys when people appreciate and gulp the sweet and fresh goodness he made. Whereas Coca Cola, no matter how hygienic or easily available, is extremely bad for health as it contains large amount of compressed carbon dioxide and has very acidic pH level. It also produced large amount of garbage, because of its packaging and often after consumption, is not properly disposed, adding to the non- biodegradable trash accumulating on earth. This project highlights the difference between the two drinks and how they are co-existing in today's scenario.
Mood board
Taking inspiration from the mood board, I created samples to hero the cane and revive it's raw fan following in today's fast paced "packaged" life.
