The wooden block is mounted on the machine with its edges smoothened and rounded. Then the tools, whose uses are self explanatory on the basis of their shapes, are used to slowly carve the wood to get the desired shape. After the shape and structure is done, the piece is rotated on the lathe only and it sanding is done.
