A Serene Escape - Set Design

A Serene Escape is a visual representation of a view in front of 'Bagore ki Haveli' , Udaipur.

The project brief was to re-create a space which has your personal memory associated with it, within an area of 2 x 2 metres. The production of this set was made within a duration of 6 days which was a challenging factor of this project.
Prototype
Representation of the set in a small vitrine to get a brief idea of the real size visuals.
Cloth Dyeing
Ombre dyeing on a cloth which further can be used as a backdrop of the set
Production
Making various parts of the set in the workshop to later assemble them on site
Interiors
Designing a silhouette and using different techniques for the light effects
Challenges
Had to represent water without using water because of the limitations and factors of the space. Used cloth and layers of cellophane papers to achieve the effect of water.
User interaction
On site changes by understanding user interaction challenges
Interactive Elements
Rajasthani style interactive windows which narrates introduction, feedback and takeaways to the audience.

The interior had a soothing Ravan-hatta music played with a serene view of sunset along the lake Pichola which disconnected the audience from the real world and made them experience the beauty of Udaipur
