Utility Houses
I embarked on this project with the intention of honing my technical and conceptual skills in the development of 3D illustrations. One aspect of the challenge involved effectively portraying materials like ceramic, plaster, or stucco using Octane and Cinema 4D. On the other hand, I aimed to create compelling concepts that would generate a narrative with minimal elements. In this endeavor, I found inspiration in the remarkable book "When the Houses Floated Back" by the talented Einar Turkowski.

Yamila Garibay, an incredibly talented artist, made a valuable contribution to this project by providing the beautiful and poetic introductory text that accompanies it. Her words were filled with warmth and inspiration, adding an extra layer of depth to the project. I am immensely grateful for her collaboration and the care she put into her work.

We believe that this project has the potential to evolve into a printed book or an activity manual for children in the future. It would be a wonderful way to share these captivating illustrations and engage young minds.

Out of curiosity, I'd love to know which House is your favorite.
