What is the new landscape created by the birth of PARCO in Osaka, where people, nationalities, genders and cultures intersect?
While the new perspective created by the influence of COVID-19 and the way of thinking about things around us are changing, we create by interweaving familiar materials and fragmentary Osaka scenery to symbolize the culture and people of Osaka.
What is the new landscape created by the birth of PARCO in Osaka, where people, nationalities, genders and cultures intersect?
While the new perspective created by the influence of COVID-19 and the way of thinking about things around us are changing, we create by interweaving familiar materials and fragmentary Osaka scenery to symbolize the culture and people of Osaka.
Materials such as paper, stone, plastic, sponge, and vinyl were used in the image to symbolize various elements. I made visuals by matching with clothes while focusing on the colors and shapes of things, regardless of the intended use. Makeup is also applied in various colors and touches so as to link with the material.
The motif on the cover is "TAKOYAKI" and a Takoyaki plate. The vivid neon pink represents PARCO's art culture, and the color was chosen while drawing on the world view of stylist Mana Yamamoto.
The paper is a mixture of matte and coat to mix the texture of the print so that the theme can be embodied from the paper and font. In the leaflet, I used "Osaka" which is also the default font of PC.
I hope it will brighten the feelings of those who live in Osaka and those who work at Shinsaibashi PARCO.
