Ocean’s velvet dusk

I’m delighted to share this journey with you through my work “Ocean’s velvet dusk” I painted this on Saturday and hope you enjoy it.

Ocean’s velvet dusk

With the suns last rays but a distant memory, the ocean’s surface begins to settle for the night.

The velvet hues of the fading light cast their glow on its glassy surface, the waves saying a sleepy farewell to the day.

The lighthouse keeper will turn on his powerful lamp again to guide those to safety for another night. Like crystals the millions of stars shine their meagre light, sharp and clear as the night descends.
