BOC Weld Guard Grunge Welding Helmet
For this project we were asked to create a unique graphic style for one of BOC's popular welding helmets. We took inspiration from the gritty workshop with some automotive styling influences.
The 3D side of the project involved optimising supplied CAD data for the shell and lens while remaining components such as the control knobs, dials and headband were modelled in Modo. Numerous realistic concept visuals were fast tracked using the 3D model.
In order to produce print artwork for the shell, this was retopologised and the final design baked out as an optimised flat artwork for the printer. Rendering was also completed in Modo using the native engine.
We were later tasked with designing the helmet carton packaging and operating manual.
