Shrine is a combination of the night light and beside table. The four sides that "tuck" under the top surface are large push switches that toggle the light surface underneath on or off. To turn it on, simply grip the edge of the table. Likewise to turn it off again.

I once noticed how nice it was to have my Japanese Lyka lantern underneath the stool I used for a night stand. It illuminated the floor around my bed but didn't cause the room to get too bright. It was perfect if I woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to see the floor when stepping out of bed, looking for my water glass, or my phone.
