I was given the opportunity to shoot at a friends engagement party, and being someone who always tries to find an excuse to dust off the DLSR, I gladly obliged the happy couple.

It was a bright summers day, and I wanted the final photos to be bright and cheery. Using some of the vintage presets from Pretty Presets for Lightroom, and a little bit of brush adjustment, the following images are just a few examples of what I ended up with.
Overall I was happy with the results, with the exception of overexposure. With the summer day bringing a lot of harsh sunlight hotspots, I found myself trying to furiously burn in sections with the brush.
The experience was worth it's weight in gold, however, as I tried to feel comfortable wielding a camera around people and to disregard people who tried to do the stock standard 'smile at the camera'.
