CLIENT
Famiglia Crispino is a Calabrian family-run company producing all kind of groceries and distributing them in Italy and abroad. Specialized in tomato sauces, food preserves and pickled products, with over half a century of history Famiglia Crispino is probably one of the most important representatives of Calabrian Eno-gastronomic’s culture and products.
PROCESS
In order to support a brand identity (and its packaging label system) where textual narration and copy are the most important communication mediums, we developed an institutional typeface truly reflecting the company's soul. Inspired by vintage Italian's visual references and expressing the authenticity and vivacity the brand is made of, Calabria Sans includes some very traditional details, some contemporary cuts and curves and some intentional drawing mistakes adding taste and personality to the letters.
