This year, Kyoorius,in partnership with D&AD and IAA (Indian Chapter) has introduced the Kyoorius Design Awards. The foremost awards for designers in India – Kyoorius Awards honours outstanding creative work in the Indian visual communications sphere for both professionals and students.
The communication strategy (print and digital) for Kyoorius Design Awards was conceptualized and created by The Brewhouse. I got the opportunity to work on the same, as a part of my Graduation Project with The Brewhouse, New Delhi.
Concept:
#DESIGNPORN
is how designers romance their own work, how they fantasize about making great work and how they drool over materials and details.
The Campaign:
Talk about design in a pornographic way by using design terms, design sublety and sexy materials to get designers excited, generate buzz and get submissions.

A set of nine posters (one for each category) were designed as a part of this campaign. My work included posters for the following categories:

Poster 1- Design For Books
Brief-
To design a poster for ‘Design for Books’ category with DesignPorn theme.

Concept-
The concept of erotic sensual photography is used in this poster. Each letter is shot with a leatherbound book, in black and white, close-up angles similar to sensual erotic photography.

Poster 2-Design For Digital
Brief-
To design a poster for ‘Design for Digital’ category with DesignPorn theme.
Concept-
Here the words ‘abs’ and ‘apps’ are used as the connecting element
between digital design and porn.
Each letter of the line is created in app shape (with the glow and shadow).
The glossy print of the letters would give it a sweaty, sexy feel.

Corrogated boxes are an essential element of packaging. Hence the poster was initially concieved in the form of a box shape,ready to be folded and cut-out.
Later, it was developed to just the lines “Nice Package”, with the boxy shadows and folds.
This poster would be printed in corrogated paper textures.
