This project shows the redesign of bus service information that is available on the Leioa campus (a part of the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU) in order to create a signage system where the information is perceived clear and easily.
Currently the biggest problem is that when leaving any faculty of the campus there is not enough information about which bus shelter to go to or which line is the most appropriate depending on the destination.
On each shelter there are already boards with information, but some changes will be applied in order to make them more clearly understandable. and add visual coherence.
The objective of this project is to create a signage system that communicates a clear and easy information from the moment one leaves the faculty to help to find the most adequate bus line.
The solution that is proposed: A map line board that will be located at the exit of each faculty. Its function is to inform about the existing lines and their location on the campus.
The map line has been made as diagrammatic as possible without losing the topographic component.
There is also a very simplified map of the campus area where the bus shelters are located distinguished by color tone and luminosity (in order to make it easier for people with color recognition problems).
Modification of the pre-existing boards on the shelters, to adapt them to the signage system that has been created.
Two examples are shown: bus line 2314 and bus line 3525.
